"The Bags..." I forgot about them damn bags

I'm all for this recycling lark, but surely the Council can come up with a better idea than this.

Yesterday I received a comment from Rusty Pearl about the Wheely Bins.

For all of you that haven't received their bins yet please have a look at the "What goes where?" picture and feel free to download and save it for future reference.

Now... as you can see, the Council also delivers about a years supply of 2 coloured plastic bags (about the size of the old black dustbin liners).

I don't know about you lot in the States, but for us home here in the U.K. the average size of a kitchen, is no bigger than a postage stamp, well collection times vary; one week the Brown Bin and recycling Sacks are collected; on the same day, but by different vehicles, (you are to make sure that you don't put the sacks in the bin, but next to). The following week the Grey Bin is collected.

Confused yet are we? you will be.

Trouble is where do you put the Sacks for a fortnight till collection time? Not only do you trip over the outside bins, your also falling over the sacks in the kitchen, and mess! well! the kitchen never looks tidy.
I've seen people with their sacks hanging off the outside back door handles, cluttering up their patio's, everywhere! then it's the small thing of (what goes where) I am still looking at the chart, scratching my head.

No wonder I've taken to the drink!

Hope this post has cheered all of you up for what is to come. "Aaarggggg"

Wheely Bins

I know.... most of you have already got them, but "Horror!" "Gasp!" "Sigh!" if you don't live in a mansion or a huge 5 bedroom house, then wheely bins are quite ridiculous really.

The Council delivered them last week, (last street on the map as usual) but where are you suppose to put them? I live in a small 2 bedroom bungalow and the garden ain't all that big, I have a small path running down to the back that stops half way, that's the only place where they can go. (See picture above on the right)

They take up all the path... honestly you can't pass the damn things. The street are up in arms with it all. Below is a photo of what my neighbour thinks about them... Ha Ha

Oh well trial and error... that's my drip for the day. Come in handy for the beer cans I suppose.. Ha! Ha!

Free Prohosting "sucks"

I went with Free Prohosting about 4 years ago, and was working on, what I thought to be, a great new site.
I paid a sum of £5 or around about, to stop the adverts.
Then a year or so back all of my java scripts etc. wouldn't work. I put it down to the new sun java; and didn't bother with the site again.
Now I find out that you are only entitled to one page, plus a lot of other drawbacks.
You would think that they would inform one of there changes.... NOT A WORD.

FREE-PROHOSTING "SUCKS".

Weird Web

It has been claimed (by a bloke in the office) that all the amazing stuff we do in our leisure time is what separates man from the animals. Hobbies make us human. And while a monkey might spend a slow Sunday afternoon scratching its bum and picking fleas from its fur, at least one person in the following list has spent the last 29 years painting a baseball. Now you tell us, which is the most intelligent species?

And while you’re pondering that, take a shufty through the rest of our trawl through some of the internet’s most unhinged hobbyists. You won’t find rail enthusiasts or model makers here. But you will find a man who decapitates garden ornaments. Enjoy!

Porn euros being passed off as real

Fake porn euro notes being sold as a gimmick in Germany are being successfully passed off as real cash.

Novelty porn euro 'bank notes' are being passed off as real in Germany / CEN

The notes, in 300, 600 and 1,000 euro denominations have a ring of 12 hearts instead of the usual EU stars and feature hunky men and big-breasted nude women.

Instead of the word 'Euro' being printed in the corner these notes have 'Eros' - the Greek god of love.

But despite these differences - and the fact that the only large euro notes currently in circulation are 100s, 200s and 500s - police say they are being passed off as the real thing.

Cologne newsagent Bernd Friedhelm, 33, accepted one of the fake 600 euro notes from an unknown customer who bought two cartons of cigarettes and walked off with 534 euros in change.

Friedhelm said: "He told me it was a new type of note and I just figured I hadn't seen one before."

A spokesman for the Cologne police said: "You can tell straight away by looking at it that it's fake.

"There aren't even any 600 euro notes anyway. But anyone trying to pass it off as real, even as a joke, faces prosecution."

Leader announces major green party

Green Party Majority Leader Riley O'Blarney today called for a national day of drinking Guinness and "wearin' o' the green."
"May the cold beer make you forget about war and terror, hurricanes and floods and government shenanigans," said O'Blarney.
Several leading leprechauns threw their support behind President Bush, saying he could really use the luck.

Watch out Bigfoots about

The village of Mawai Lama in the Malaysian state of Johor is a sleepy row of wooden fronted shop-houses set back from the Sedili River.
Yet Mawai is one of the most intriguing places in Malaysia.

According to local historians, Mawai's original name was Mawas, and Mawas is the name locals give to a legendary creature known the world over as Bigfoot.
The people of Mawas certainly seem to believe in the creature from which their village takes its name.
Some, like Aji the boatman, say they have seen it.
"It was about 10 or 11 at night. I saw something, but I didn't know what sort of creature it was. But I can definitely see the eyes were red. And it made a noise, Woooooo!" Aji said.
"Maybe it was scared off by my headlight and I was scared by him so we both rushed off in different directions and later I came back and found the footprints," he said.
