I read an interesting post on Prying1's Blog this morning and I couldn't agree more with what he said.

This is ever so slightly off topic but you might enjoy it. Back in the 80's (hell I am old!) the Pope made a visit to canada.

Of course there was a big thing about selling pope related stuff. The pope is a lot like the olympics, or the world cup, you have to have official blessing (ie give them a pile of money) to use the trademark. And every vendor had to pass the Pope test.

My favorite papal item that did not make it to the store shelf was "Pope on a rope".

Soap on a rope was one of those fad things, the idea was you could hang the soap in the shower and use it in the knowlege that you were not going to drop it. Anyway some guy came up with the idea of molding soap in the likeness of the pope. hence "Pope on a rope".

The Vatican and the Canadian government veto'd the scheme! Damn shame I say!

ROFL.. zzsimonb, I wonder if it was the thought of him dangling at the end of a rope or the thought of where his face would end up whilst washing the private parts.. Ha!Ha!

Pugs.. It's a well known fact that the Pope bathes with his underwear on. That way he does not have to look down on the unemployed!

olden, but golden!

Pugs i went to prying1 to
read what he had written
and nothing came up.

The Pope did apologize
for what he said.

I'm still getting comments
from vest/saby 2 this
morning.
I left a comment on vests blog
to leave me alone.
He'll probably delete it.

I don't understand why he
keeps this act of terror
up.
Cheers!

you had no problem with the popes speach or the murdered nun?

Funny ain't it? Muslims can condemn everything non muslim with apparent impunity yet soon as someone offends them even slightly they get all uppity. prying1 is spot on. Upset islam and the placards come out. Fly planes into tall buildings and it's strangely silent. If muslims want respect they can bloody well try giving it out first. Arseholes.
